Mark those calendars! Our fall destination rides will be starting in August, and are going to hit some STELLAR trail systems around our region. For each of these rides, expect a 2-3 hour ride (or more!) on intermediate-level terrain (blue trails, with black options for more advanced riders, and usually a fair bit of climbing).

On August 16th, we'll hit up Douthat State Park, which is often a bit cooler than Roanoke itself, and has some epic riding. Don't miss out on this opportunity to ride some epic trails in our region--and invite your friends!

We will meet at 10am at the Discovery Center Parking lot. The driveway to the Discovery Center is the first left past the Ranger Station. (There is a $5 entrance fee per vehicle; stop at the ranger station to pay.)

The Ride: As a heads-up, there is no ride at Douthat that doesn't involve a lot of climbing. We'll do some version of this route on Trailforks, likely by cruising back on the road at the end of Brushy Hollow: https://www.trailforks.com/routepopular/90495754/

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the RMA shuttle for the Douthat trip. RMA is moving into their new location and do not have a van and driver available.
